During the annual Taube Week, Evert Taube’s unparalleled artistry is celebrated — the songs, the poems, the stories, and the joy of life that still shape the soul of Swedish culture.
On March 11 and on Evert Taube’s birthday, March 12, this year’s grand Taube Day Concert will take place. The 2026 concert is titled: "Ellinor! Ellinor! Ellinor! – A Vessel, a Daughter, a Queen".

A star-studded tribute to Evert Taube
Welcome to a brilliant evening where Lisa Nilsson, Theodor Jensen, Augustifamiljen, and The Gothenburg Combo take the stage — joined by a lineup of exceptional artists — to honor the legacy of Evert Taube.
The performance is a musical and theatrical odyssey in two acts, weaving the name Ellinor through Taube’s entire body of work. From his very first song “Ellinors vals” (1917), where Ellinor is a Bohuslän sailing vessel, through “På kryss med Ellinor”, “Brevet från Lillan” and “Ellinor dansar”, all the way to the prose book “Vallfart till Trubadurien och Toscana”, in which Taube pays tribute to Eleanor of Aquitaine — the symbol of love’s and the troubadours’ golden age.
